10 Bible Verses for DecemberDecember. It's that time of the year families get together, meals are made, and presents are opened. In these hectic times, it's so easy to forget about the reason we're really celebrating Christmas. (There will be a blogpost more in depth of the true meaning of Christmas to come!) But today, I'm here to remind you with 10 Bible Verses of what Christmas is truly about. It's a little reminder for your day, that Jesus should not only be a part of just your December, but a part of your every day life. Scroll down for 10 Bible Verses! 1.) Luke 1:31-33 "And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name Jesus. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David. and he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end," 2.) Luke 1:37 "For with God nothing shall be impossible." 3.) Luke 2:7 "And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn." 4.) Luke 2:8-12 "And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you tidings of great joy, which shall be unto all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger." 5.) John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." 6.) Matthew 5:17 "Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill." 7.) Matthew 2:1-2 & 9-11 "Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, saying Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him...When they had heard the king, they departed; and, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was. When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy. And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh." 8.) Isaiah 7:14 "There fore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel." 9.) Isaiah 53:5 "But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed." 10.) Isaiah 43:11 "I, even I, am the Lord; and beside me there is no saviour." Happy Friday! I hope your weekend and Holidays are magical and full of love.
