April is often referred to Easter. Easter isn't about the eggs, the rabbit, the baskets. It's about God, He sent His Son to die for us. Jesus died for you and I...and He arose!!! He offers to live life eternally! So this Friday, I put together some Bible Verses referring to Easter, and what it's truly about.
1.) Matthew 1:21 KJV [21] And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. 2.) Matthew 14:33 KJV [33] Then they that were in the ship came and worshipped him, saying, Of a truth thou art the Son of God. 3.) Matthew 17:5 KJV [5] While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him. 4.) Matthew 20:18-19,28 KJV [18] Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be betrayed unto the chief priests and unto the scribes, and they shall condemn him to death, [19] And shall deliver him to the Gentiles to mock, and to scourge, and to crucify him : and the third day he shall rise again. [28] Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many. 5.) Matthew 26:26-29 KJV [26] And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it , and brake it , and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body. [27] And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; [28] For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. [29] But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom. 6.) Matthew 26:39 KJV [39] And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt . 7.) Matthew 27:27-31 KJV [27] Then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus into the common hall, and gathered unto him the whole band of soldiers . [28] And they stripped him, and put on him a scarlet robe. [29] And when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put it upon his head, and a reed in his right hand: and they bowed the knee before him, and mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews! [30] And they spit upon him, and took the reed, and smote him on the head. [31] And after that they had mocked him, they took the robe off from him, and put his own raiment on him, and led him away to crucify him . 8.) Luke 23:32-34 KJV [32] And there were also two other, malefactors, led with him to be put to death. [33] And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified him, and the malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other on the left. [34] Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots. 9.) Luke 24:1-3 KJV [1] Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them. [2] And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre. [3] And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus. 10.) Matthew 28:19-20 KJV [19] Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: [20] Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. I hope that you personally know Jesus this Easter, and I hope you know that He died for you and I. He loved us so much, that He not only died, but He arose. He offers a way out of this world...through Him. I encourage you today to accept Jesus into your heart. I guarantee it'll be the best thing that you ever will do. He died for us. So, we should live for Him. Keep Smiling, rosepetalsandfaith <3
