12 Bible Verses You Need to Know When You Want Hope Hopeless: Adjective. without hope; beyond optimism or hope; desperate. I know what it's like to feel beyond hope. I also know what it's like to live in a world that seems so hopeless. I understand the feeling and definition of hopeless. It's scary and it feels so cold and alone. It seems as if there's no way out. Scripture says different though, and I want to prove that to you. God's Word gives us the strength we need, it gives us a hope beyond this life and our feelings. Scroll down for twelve Bible verses when you want hope. 1.) Psalm 16:8-9 "I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh shall rest in hope." 2.) Psalm 119:89-90 "For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven. Thy faithfulness is unto all generations: thou hast established the earth, and it abideth." 3.) Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end." 4.) 1 Corinthians 15:54-58 "So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord." 5.) Job 5:16 "So the poor hath hope, and iniquity stoppeth her mouth." 6.) Daniel 2:44 "And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever." 7.) Daniel 12:3 "And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever." 8.) Matthew 5:8 "Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God." 9.) Matthew 5:12 "Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you." 10.) Micah 7:7 "Therefore I will look unto the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me." 11.) 1 Corinthians 2:9 "But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him." 12.) Revelation 21:4 "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away." This life may seem hopeless, but with a Mighty God, we can have hope for a new, amazing life that will be lived with Him. That's pretty exciting. My hope isn't in this world, because it never fails to let me down. My hope is in something bigger, and He saves me daily. :) God offers hope, will you take it?
