After running on a gorgeous day this past week, I began to take in all my surroundings and God’s creation. I was in awe at how He makes things with such intricacy, so much detail. I realized how much my God loves me. How He blessed me with this life, and my home. I got overwhelmed by His love and His grace. And how I’m so undeserving, yet He gave it to me…because He loves me. Obviously, there are plenty, innumerable reasons why God loves you; but these are six ways, from me to you, to be reminded of God’s unexplainable love for you. Way #1 - His Creation. When I look at His creation, I don’t understand, I can’t even begin to fathom it. It’s gorgeous…absolutely beautiful! God created it for man, we ought to study it, explore it, see it, and take in His divine creation. Nature shows you how colorful and loving God is. It shows you how much thought was put into each specific thing that was made. It offers you a chance to talk with God and grow closer to Him. Obviously, we do not worship the nature, we worship the creator of all things…God! And if Earth is this beautiful…can you imagine Heaven?! Way #2 – God sent His Son for us. KJV John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” God loved you and I so much, that He sent His ONLY Son to die for us…that one day we could have an opportunity to be with Him in Heaven. And how hard would it be to send your own son to Earth to die for wicked people like us? I couldn’t imagine it. Jesus was willing to die for you…if that isn’t love…than what is? Way #3 – Your Family. If you have a family that loves you, BE THANKFUL. Not everyone is fortunate enough to have a family. Not everyone has a Mom or Dad. God has given you the blessing of having a family don’t EVER take that for granted, because one day it could easily be snatched from your fingertips. Thank Him for allowing you to be a part of your family, and that your family loves you. For those of you who maybe come from a broken home, or have lost your mom or dad…just have peace knowing that if you’ve accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Savior…He’s your Heavenly Father. He loves you and cares for you deeply. Way #4 - Your Health. If you can just as much as breathe…thank God that you’re able to take that breath. If you don’t have cancer, thank God for not having to have surgeries or multiple treatments. Not everyone is fortunate enough to have perfect health. He gave you this life of yours, thank Him for your health, and that you’re able to do all the things that you CAN do. Way #5 – He Forgives. KJV Proverbs 10:12 says, “Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins.” If you gave your heart to Christ, His blood then covered all of your sins. He had so much love for you that you now have an opportunity to ask for forgiveness. To be born again. And to have a better life. Now that doesn’t mean to sin intentionally and you’ll get by with it, because you gave your life to Christ at one point…not at all. You should ALWAYS strive to be Christ-like. But when you do mess up, immediately ask God to forgive you and to help you overcome your struggles and weaknesses. Thank Him for that chance to make things right with Him, for His unending love and grace. His love covers all. Way #6 – Where He’s brought you from. Now I know it’s not always the best for us to sit and dwell on our past, but I do think every once and a while you should reflect on what He’s done for you. Whether you lived in an abusive family, had a disease, did things you shouldn’t have…Look at how far He’s brought you. How He took you right out of those deep, dark pits with what seemed like no hope and gave you life. He showed you true love. He showed you what He could do for you; when you knelt to give Him your all and obediently followed His will. For those of you who still think that there is no hope…I’m here to tell you that THERE IS, if only you lay your pride and broken heart at Jesus’ feet. Then He will pick you up and pave you a new path that you never even saw possible. That’s love.
I could go on and on of ways God loves you, but instead why not sit and make a list yourself? Then whenever you feel down and you don’t understand why things are going the way they are, you can be reminded of God’s love for you. That He has a purpose for you, if you just hold on. It will be worth it after all is over and we get to be face to face with our Savior. Then it will make sense. Know that He loves you and will never leave your side. We are so undeserving, unworthy of His love, yet he gives it to us freely. Keep Smiling, rosepetalsandfaith <3
