A Note to my Younger Self... If I could go back in time, there are a few things I would have told myself that I wish I would have known as a preteen/kiddo. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't change a single thing about how things have happened and how my life has played out. These are just some things I would have told younger me. And since I obviously can't go back in time, this is now my advice to you...from my heart. <3 Dear Younger Me (all of my readers),
Life can be tough, it's very true. There's not a day that doesn't go by without something upsetting you, angering you, or complications. Something you can't do, is let it get to you so much that you can't even think straight. It's life, and frustrating things happen. At that point you should get on your knees and pray, sing a hymn, or read your Bible. Don't let satan tell you lies, don't let him get you so down that you don't even know how to crawl back out. God has a plan for you and the obstacles. It's how you tackle those obstacles...that's important. Next, girls will be girls. Some will lie to you. They will make fun of you. Others will gossip about you, and make you feel alone. You have to accept that, but don't be a part of it. It's not fun. No one likes to be talked about. Things will be said that will scar you for life; but you have to know, God is by your side. Rest in His arms. You're better than the lies and gossip that's spoken of you. Here's what you need to know: it's okay to be the only one. God will eventually send you the best friend/s that will feel like your sister/brother. God will deliver someone you'd never suspect, at the most random time. Pray. Hard. Until. Then. Trust Him, and love Him...besides He's a forever friend. He'll stick around all of the time. Lastly, you're beautiful. Those little white patches around your eyes, on your legs, and ankles...they're God's design for you. You're uniquely and intricately designed face is in God's likeness. You're fearfully and wonderfully made by the Creator above. You have to be confident in and know that. Look in the mirror and tell yourself that you're God's masterpiece. There's no one else like you! There are so many other things I could tell you. Those things might be for another time. But I want you to rest in this Bible verse: "Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity." -1 Timothy 4:12 KJV. Be an example, and shine your light. No matter the age, height, race, weight, physical appearance, be an example for Christ, you never know the hearts you will touch. Keep Smiling, rosepetalsandfaith <3
