Grab your cup of coffee or tea with me, and let's have a chat! :) Are you being your best? Are you trying your best? Are you living your best life?
Life isn't perfect. We certainly aren't perfect, and neither are our ways. But I am a firm believer in the fact that we can try to live our best lives.
The first thing you have to ask yourself is: "Am I honoring God?" Honoring God should be your number one priority, because if you honor Him, the rest of your life will fall into place. God doesn't promise that there won't be any trials, but He does promise that He will be with you through it all.
We can't just sit back and expect God to do everything for us. God's Word teaches us that laziness isn't a thing to be prideful in. We need to honor God, place Him first by not just reading our devotions but applying them to our lives. We should try our best to show up to church every chance we get, because it's God's house. We should love others. There are so many ways to honor God. Open up your Bible and read for yourself. :)
Next thing you have to ask is this: "Am I living my healthiest life?" Healthy is that one word that I think drives everyone insane. I'm not perfect at eating healthy (have you seen some of my recipes? LOL!), but I'm not just meaning food. While yes, we should watch what we consume, because our bodies are temples of the Holy Ghost (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), we also need to make for sure we are surrounding ourselves with good, Godly people. Having true Christians around to encourage and uplift you can literally change your life. The people you hang out with have a heavy influence on what makes up you.
Living your best life also requires simply putting aside the bad, and choosing not to ponder on it. God's Word says that He has already won. So, we should leave our worrisome thoughts behind and take on the happiness and peace that God brings. That peace and happiness can bring a smile to our faces even on the darkest, dimmest days.
No, your life may not be perfect, but we sure can tackle each day with a positive mindset and live our lives to their best ability. God has purpose for us. We're not to just sit around and hide. We're to put a smile on our face and be a light to this lost and dying World. As I've said before, you may be the only Bible that other's see. Live your best life, don't fear, just share God.
