Battles. There are so many battles in our lives. Spiritual battles. Physical battles. Mental battles. Even battles that you face with friends and family, you never thought you’d have to face. People you never thought you’d have to stand up to. Surgeries you never thought you’d even have to think about. Battles with yourself that you once never thought would occur. But God didn’t put us in a rut to just leave us there, “…and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world…” (KJV Matthew 28:20). If you accept Him as your personal savior and you believe and trust in Him, He’s with you no matter what. No matter the time, day or night. He’s there to take care of you and guide every step that you take…because He loves you. I have learned from experience, God will never leave you as long as you hold on to His big, mighty hand. I’ve learned that God puts you through things to help you grow, test your faith, and/or witness to someone. I’m here to tell you...there’s peace. I get that it may not be an easy situation, but God never said that it would be smooth sailing, and easy. It’s to show you that His ways are so much better than ours, and that He will get the glory. You don’t understand until you look back at the valley that you faced, whilst standing back up on the mountaintop, God does things for SPECIFIC REASONS. He works it all out in His timing. If we took it all into our hands…our lives would be a train wreck every single day. It gives me peace in my mind, that God has my future in His hands. And He’ll take care of me. That gives me the kind of peace to rest, and not worry. To go through whatever valley you’re going through, you have to give it all to God. Because to put all of it on your own shoulders, that’s not what God wants…and it’s not healthy. He’s there to meet our every need. So, encourage yourself in His word, continue with your devotions. Sing songs for God. He’s worthy to be praised, because He has a plan for your life. Face the Giant -whatever it may be- with something unexpected, throw it off by praising God for this trial that you’re going through. Constantly pray God’s will for the turnout, and that you’ll do what He has you to do. That you wouldn’t veer the wrong direction. That you would keep your eyes fixed on the “light at the end of the tunnel.” And whatever you do, don’t you dare give up, your life holds a purpose. God wants you to put your little hand in His larger, safe and secure hand. When you’re faced with a valley that you know no way out of…praise God for it. Praise God with the outcome that He’s going to give you, even when there seems like there’s no hope at all. KJV Jeremiah 29:12 says: “Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.” God will supply you with the very thing that you need. It may not be what you were looking for, but He’ll give you the exact thing you are in need of. If He doesn’t give you what you ask for or simply says no, it’s because He has something better in store for you…something magnificent. “And we know that all things work together for the good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” (KJV Romans 8:28). The giants in your life…just think of them as stepping stones. One by one, you can overcome them, and you’ll have a relationship with God that will be unbreakable, you’ll reach your destination. Not without hard work and dedication though, but those things will be paid off one day. It will be worth it. These Giants/valleys/hard times, they’re there for a reason. So, next time when you’re faced with a trail, or “rough patch” just think, “…but with God all things are possible.” (KJV Matthew 19:26). God will reward you with your faithfulness towards Him. He DIED for you and AROSE, the least you could do is stand for Him and face your Giant with His word. “But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore. My beloved bretheren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.” (KJV 1 Corinthians 15:57-58).
