I had an aha spiritual moment the other day, and I pray it can be an encouragement to you. I was reading Lies Women Believe by Nancy Demoss Wolgemuth (totally recommend the book and the study) and was struck by something so simple, but satan had blinded me from the Truth. Maybe you struggle with anger, depression, pornography, selfishness, loneliness. Whatever it is, sin is sin. Sin makes you feel ashamed. Sin steals joy. Sin break's God's heart. Sin breaks fellowship with God. Sin produces fear. The list goes on and on, but one more thing: Sin kills. For so long, I have struggled with something between God and I. It hit me hard the other day when Nancy pointed her readers to Romans 6:18, "Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness." You see, when I play with fire, I eventually get burned. Sin breaks fellowship with God. But God says I don't have to be a slave to sin anymore. The blood of Jesus is sufficient to wash away any and every sin I have ever committed. There is nothing too great for God. This is the part that made my heart flutter like crazy: If I am a child of God, I don't have to sin. Sure, I'll mess up, but I don't have to be enslaved to sin. I actually doubt the Cross of Christ when I believe I can't live a victorious life. Through Christ's finished work on the Cross, I CAN live a victorious life. Jesus says, "Without me, ye can do nothing." (John 15:5.) But with Him, I can do all things! PRAISE THE LORD! Nancy said this: Every time I say yes to the Spirit, I give Him greater control of my life. That's what I want. And I believe you want it too...a closer, deeper, more purposeful life with the King of Kings. I believe you have ran. The steam is slowly running out. I believe you have let satan rob you of the life that matters for too long. I know this, because I was/am there. With me today, let's say no. No more of it. By God's grace and the finished work of the Cross, we can have victory over sin. We can go all in with Jesus Christ. Live an abundant life. Isn't that amazing? By giving Him my all, I gain so. much. more. I gain freedom. The enemy wants us enslaved to fear, doubt, and guilt. But God wants you and I to walk in FREEDOM, FAITH, and ASSURANCE OF FORGIVENESS. Let's choose it. Let's claim victory. Realign your spiritual walk with the Lord by asking Him to reveal to you the lies you have believed. Then, surrender them all to Him and start believing the Word of God wholeheartedly and act on it. God says His grace is sufficient. Believe it. Claim it. Live it. I love you, friend. I'm praying for you. "To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne." -Revelation 3:21 You May Also Enjoy:
