Confession time: These past couple weeks have been a rollercoaster for me, full of highs and lows, full of tears and joy. To be completely honest, at times I felt like the rollercoaster was going too fast for me and I found myself searching just for a small breath of fresh air. You ever felt that way? Like so much noise is going on around you that you can't just simply stop and breathe? Yeah, me too. Like, I can't even begin to count how many times I've wanted to curl up on the couch with a chocolate bar and tune everything out for just an hour. Sometimes an emotional girl just needs her chocolate and quiet time, you feel me? Then I opened my Bible to Psalm 65:7 a few nights ago. "Which stilleth the noise of the seas, the noise of their waves, and the tumult of the people."Wow, how that spoke to my heart! I literally sat in my bed that night in tears, because like a dehydrated person desperately needing water, my soul thirsted for this Truth. It hit me then and there...the noise is going to be there. Whatever storm or battle we're going through, unless God takes it away (and He can!), often times that noise will be there to make us stronger in our faith. But do you know that God can still the noise of that storm or battle for you? Do you know that while so much is going on, God can give you a peace in your heart like you've never experienced? Even in the midst of the widest valley you have ever trudged through, God can still the raging winds and calm your heart. What a wonderful, beautiful Truth that is! No human being can offer us that. No experience, vacation, or newest gadget can do that for us. Only God can truly still us in the midst of our storms. God can still you during your finals. God can still you as you watch a loved one battle with cancer. God can still you when you feel all alone and defeated. God can still you when you're overwhelmed with life's situations. God can still you when the anger is too much to bear. It is in the here and now where God wants to teach you and I this. No situation is too big for Him. No situation is too complicated for Him. Your life isn't too messy for Him. But He wants you to have faith that He can take care of you. To trust that you don't have to do all the heavy lifting. He already did that at Calvary. Friend, you and I simply need to trust and obey His good plan, because when we trust and obey, our faith is increased. And when our faith is increased, our relationship with Christ is deepened. God can still you. Just trust Him. You May Also Enjoy:
