Maybe it's a relationship that just got torn apart. Maybe it's a sin or temptation that you're struggling with. It could be a loss of a loved one, a mistake that you made, or even the ugly past you came from. Whatever it is, you feel broken inside. You feel like running and if you don't stop, you're going to burn out and crash. You feel absolutely defeated. This feeling, it's not uncommon. Many people struggle with the feeling of being broken. Many people struggle with the same thing you are dealing with right now. The thing is, most people don't talk about it. They hide away and retreat to themselves. It's not healthy. In order to overcome, we must discuss it, we must encourage each other's hearts. I find that so important, and that is why I'm trying to help you out today. You are not alone, and your brokenness can be cured. The truth is, you can't do this thing called life on your own. And maybe you have realized that, and you're scared because you don't want to be alone. Matthew 11:28 says, "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." God bids you come to Him, to find peace and love in His welcoming arms. There is rest when you enter into arms that assure you everything is going to be okay. You may be thinking, "But I've gone too far. God can't fix this mess." First of all, girllll don't doubt the love of God! Haven't you read John 3:16? He loved you enough to send you His Son, so why think He can't bring you out of this trial of a season? Nothing you have done is too far for the Father's loving hands to reach. Read about Saul before he was converted to Paul. What about David and Bathsheba? His grace is sufficient (ref. 2 Corinthians 12:9). It's curable, you just have to bring it to the right Doctor, so to speak. (; I, too, have felt so broken that tears are the only words I can form. Mistakes have been made, time and time again I often find myself in a puddle of a mess. That's when I have to look up and tell God I'm sorry, I tried taking this mess into my own hands and it's crumbling even more. I can't do life on my own, I'm not ashamed to say that. I need help from Someone other than a human being on my side. I need Jesus. And as Jordan Lee Dooley from Soul Scripts often says, "Your brokenness is welcome here." Jesus is welcoming your puddle of a mess, friend. He wants to give you a better life. Are you willing to take it? Keep Smiling, rosepetalsandfaith <3 |
