Dear Mom: I think sometimes things are easier to say in a letter. Being the cry-baby that I am, I can't see myself making it through this in person without tearing up. So, here goes... I can't even begin to explain how grateful I am for the role you play in our family. I know I don't say it enough, but not a day goes by that I don't appreciate your love and support. I'm sorry for the days when I don't act like I should and for when I don't fully let my mind grasp all that you do to make our family complete. I can't imagine life without your laughter that fills up the entire room and never fails to bring a smile to my face.
Thanks for putting up with my karaoke parties on the kitchen table. For twisting my hair up into a million crazy hairstyles for dance class. For lugging me around three nights a week just to do what I love. For giving up the last piece of cake so one of us can have it instead. For cuddling me in my bed when my heart is breaking and tears are streaming down my face. For praying for me. Gosh, I could go on and on. *and here come the tears.* For giving up things that you want to do, just so we can be happy. I've never known someone quite as selfless as you. Your heart continues to give and I don't think it ever stops. You would literally go out of the way to make our family happy, and that in it of itself proves your endless love. The woman who deserves the world and back...you would do anything just to make us happy. I thank God every day for you, and I pray that maybe one day I can be half the mother and wife that you are to our family. You've set a clear example of what a mother should be to her children, and how a wife should be to her husband. Proverbs 31:10 says, "Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies." Mom, I just want to say that your price is far above rubies. You deserve to be celebrated every day. I don't know where I would be without you. And I thank the good Lord that you're here to help me out on my journey. I'm sending many hugs and kisses to you on this special day. happy birthday beautiful momma. -katlyn <3
