The moment I've been waiting so long for finally came.
This past weekend I got to experience a once in a lifetime dream. When I found out in eighth grade that Abeka Academy offered their students a graduation ceremony in Pensacola, Florida, I prayed so hard. I prayed that if God saw fit, He would make a way for me to go to Pensacola in 2019. It happened. It's amazing to see your prayer unfold right in front of your eyes. No care is too little or too big to cast upon the Lord.
I honestly didn't know what to expect of graduation. I obviously knew it was going to workout and be such a fun experience, but I never knew how life changing it would be.
The drive down felt like it only took two hours because of my anticipation and excitement. Although, my dad with his hand on the wheel and my mom helping navigate, might have thought otherwise. When I arrived on campus Friday and was welcomed in with orientation, I truly felt at home. Staff, teachers, and administrators were absolutely wonderful and SOOO kind. I never realized how organized and efficient Abeka was until I arrived on campus. I greatly appreciate their efforts because it is no small task.
Friday evening was filled full of fun activities such as tours of PCA, meeting video teachers, and sports activities!
Saturday, I woke up with butterflies in my stomach, but that morning at rehearsal, I was immediately welcomed by sweet faculty, staff, and new friends. God is amazing! I had the opportunity to meet teachers at a luncheon and might I say that the food was fantastic! And the graduation commencement itself was beautiful. All who spoke, especially Campus Pastor, Jeff Redlin, touched my heart in a special way.
In conclusion, this experience was everything I ever dreamed it to be and so much more. It's another testimony of how God answers prayers in my life. I feel grateful and blessed. To God be the glory, great things He hath done!
But enough of me and my endless chatter, watch the video below of my last Abeka video blog! :)
