Every time that I eat this dish, I’m instantly taken back to my childhood. So many times, I remember my Mom making this and me going crazy because it was chicken casserole night!!! Now I have the recipe…So today I’m going to be sharing my Momma’s recipe with ya’ll and hopefully you guys enjoy it and the simplicity of the recipe just as much as I do!
Ingredients for Amazing Stove Top Chicken Casserole:
1 package of Stove Top stuffing mix
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 can of cream of chicken soup
1 cup of milk
1 ½ cups of hot water
¼ cup of margarine
Step 1.) Preheat baking oven for 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Step 2.) Stir your stuffing, 1 ½ cups of water, and ¼ cup of margarine on your stove, until your stuffing is moistened. Once moist, set it aside.
Step 3.) Shred your chicken and place it evenly in a baking dish.
Step 4.) Mix your cream of chicken soup and milk until it’s blended and then pour it over your shredded chicken.
Step 5.) Top it all off with your stuffing being evenly placed on top of the chicken and soup/milk mixture.
Step 6.) Bake for thirty-five minutes or until your chicken is done and the stuffing is golden brown. (I personally like to leave mine in just a little longer, only because I like for my stuffing to be a little crunchy. But that’s a personal preference. So ultimately, it’s up to you.)
Step 7.) Let cool before you serve and then ENJOY!
Thanks for stopping by my blog! I hope you’re having a wonderful day!
Happy Baking and God Bless!
