Exciting? Spring. Flowers are blooming, the sun is shining, so the weather is warmer. That also means shorts and flippity flops (sandals) lol! So for today's post we're talking all about how to get ready for the warmer days ahead! Scroll down to find out more!!!
Spring is pretty much known for cleaning and getting rid of/storing the warmer clothes. Also there's a lot of cleaning closets, washing down walls, dusting. And to be quite honest, I feel so much better once I clean and get rid of unnecessary things. I feel productive and ready to take on the upcoming months! I especially love cleaning my closet and minimizing things I don't really need, and just reorganizing everything. 2.) New clothes!
Spring also means bright, fun colors for your wardrobe. White pants, bright tops, floral prints, sandals, dresses! You can have so much fun changing up your style this time of year! Have fun with it! Here's a link to a super cute spring lookbook: https://youtu.be/2c6oL-jdFmc
3.) Get a new hairstyle!
I, myself, think spring is the perfect time for changes. If you've been thinking about getting a shorter haircut, go for it! Wanting new highlights? Do it! Just simply changing your simple, straight hairstyle to waves for a day, gives yourself so much more confidence in the fact that you can rock it. Or even braids, there's literally thousands of different braid hairstyles, try them out!
4.) Add a cute plant!
I did this last spring and it made me so happy to see a cute plant when I walked into my room. There was just something about it, seeing something fresh and growing was so cool to experience firsthand. Even little cacti are adorable and such a good way to add something extra to your house/room.
5.) Freshen up your room!
There's so many ways to change your room up, but here's just a couple of suggestions that make me feel better. You could rearrange your room, put your bed somewhere else and your vanity on the opposite wall. Paint your walls, replace old pictures with new ones. Change your bedspread and pillows out from winter themed to springy, bright or pastel colors. Make a plain white wall a focus wall, add a Pinterest diy to it! 6.) Start a daily Bible reading!
If you haven't already, I sugguest a daily Bible reading. Whether that just be one verse and working up to a chapter eventually, that's totally up to you and your pace. But I find so much encouragement in reading my Bible each day. Something super fun would even be starting a group chat with your friends and sending each other a bible verse a day. It could be the exact encouragement they could be needing! Or just surprise a friend by sending them a verse! Something as simple as reading and studying your Bible can help you grow so much.
7.) Start exercising!
Now I know that's not what everyone likes to hear, but it helps so much. Not only does it prepare you for that summer bikini body, but it releases endorphins which makes you happy...and who doesn't want to be happy?! Find what you like to do (certain exercises, sports, running, etc.;) and most importantly...have fun!
