Today, I thought I would do a blogpost on my summer workout routine! This post includes my latest YouTube video that guides you through my workout routine.
For those that have been following me for a while now, know that I have been struggling with some health issues and adjusting to that and finding a way to workout without my legs and hip hurting me constantly, has been difficult. (Read my blogpost here about how I learned to trust God through this season.) This is a workout that I have stuck with and feel good after exercising. It's important to find what works for you and to do it! If you love doing burpees to a whole song, go for it! It's all about listening to your body and doing things that are best for it.
1 Corinthians 6:19-20 says "What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's." Your health is important. Your body isn't yours. God gave you the health to get up and be active, so take control and do something! I'm not saying you have to run 13 miles. Just glorify God with the body He has given you. Take care of it.
As mentioned in this video, not only is your physical health important, but so is your spiritual. Your soul needs nutrients just as your diet needs them. God's Word is a light for your path. Set a goal, before you workout, dig into the Word and spend quality time with the Lord. This sets the tone for your day and gives your heart something to thrive on. This devotional time to God, also changes your mental health.
