I can't tell you how many times in the summer I've sat down with a case of total boredom. It really isn't fun to just sit and watch tv or be on your phone all day. I like to feel productive! And if I'm betting, the reason you're reading this is to do something.
So, I'm here to give you really fun things to do in the summer! Give them a try! What do you like to do in the summer? Let me know below in the comment section! ;)
Scroll down for things to do during your summer break!
1.) Paint Rocks!
I don't know if you've seen it or not, but painting rocks, hiding them for someone to find and then you rehiding them is such a cute idea!
What you might paint on this could inspire or touch hearts! YOU NEVER KNOW! It's a cute idea that costs next to nothing.
All you need is acrylic paint, a rock, and some brushes. It might seem a little childish, but honestly is fun and keeps you occupied!! (PSTTTT!! Pinterest has some super cute designs!!)
2.) Have a pool/lake day!
Now I know not everyone has a pool, but there is probably a lake or something similar near you! Gather up some friends, floaties and food and you'll literally have a day you won't forget!!
3.) Have a photoshoot!
All you need is a camera and a "cameraman". Get some friends and take turns taking pictures, honestly it turns out to be so much fun...annnddd it's new pics for that Insta feed! ;)
Watercoloring is something I've loved doing. I've kinda matured from my 3 year old artwork though lol! Once your watercolor painting is dry, frame it! It's an easy and affordable way to have as cute artwork decor in your house!
5.) Vacation Bible School!
If your church doesn't do it already, bring up vacation bible school! It's a great way for youth (and adults) to come together as a church! It spreads The Word, keeps you busy and entertained! It's exciting!
6.) Make Fun Desserts!
Pinterest literally has sooooo many different dessert ideas! It's always fun to experiment with some new recipes and try new, cool stuff out!
Camping is the best way to just unwind with family and friends, appreciate and explore God's creation and unplug. I really, really suggest trying it sometime, even if it's your backyard!!
8.) Bible Studies!
Having Bible studies with friends is always so encouraging. So pile together with your Bibles and snacks and let your heart open to God's word!
9.) Polaroid Journal!
A diary...but Polaroid version! How cute?!
So basically, every day (or when you can or have something exciting to take note of) tape a Polaroid on a page and write down the highlights of that day!
I love the idea of this! It'll be so easy to look back on your summer and smile at the memories!
10.) Tie dye!
Tie dye is super trendy right now, but not only is it trendy...it's also tonsssss of fun! Get a kit at your local Walmart or craft store and have at it! ;D
Happy Monday and God Bless!
(Ps. For all of my advice/inspiration readers, there will not be a blogpost Friday. Neither will there be one next Monday. Sorry, I will be super busy! Lord willing though, next Friday there will be one! Take time and enjoy God's creation and the people around you! :) )
