Caramel. Juicy Granny Smiths. Cinnamon rolls. Icing. It's all in one, and it's delicious. This is such a funky twist on the usual cinnamon rolls. It's fun, and simple! It'd be a great dessert to serve at any event, or just for breakfast or dessert. It's also another good'n for fall, like my previous post on delicious apple bread!

2 cans of cinnamon rolls (We used Pillsbury, because that delicious dough boy does wonders lol!)
4 large apples-peeled and diced (Preferably Granny Smith)
1/2 cup of sugar
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg
1 tablespoon of cornstarch
1/4 - 1/3 cup of caramel sauce (Salted caramel is always yummy!)
Not my picture, I devoured it too quickly to even take a picture lol! Credit goes to the original owner.
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit and spray an 8x8x2 inch dish with nonstick spray.
In a bowl, stir diced apples, sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, and nutmeg, until it's even.
Cut your cinnamon rolls in 1/4 inch slices and roll them out on a floured surface. (The flour makes the dough easier to work with.)
Arrange your first layer of flattened cinnamon rolls at the bottom and sides of your baking dish. Press with your hands to seal them well.
Spread half of your apples and 2-3 tablespoons of caramel sauce (or just go crazy with it...that's always good LOL!) Then cover that with another layer of flattened cinnamon rolls.
Spread your remaining apples and drizzle the caramel sauce again. Cover that with the last of your cinnamon rolls.
Cover your dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes. Then remove the foil and bake for another 10-15 minutes, so that the top is golden brown.
Let cool, and then drizzle it with the icing that comes with the cinnamon rolls and serve!
Happy Monday and God Bless! I hope you enjoy this recipe! Let me know if you try it out :)
