I got in some extra Bible time this past Thursday, and can I just say it was much needed? I hadn't been feeling well the night before and some into Thursday morning and the Word of God is a remedy for all of my problems. So, I gathered up my Bible, my notebook, some pens and meandered out to the back porch. I opened up the Bible plan I'd been following and it "just so happened" that Isaiah 40:26-31 was on the plan for that day. Isaiah 40:26-31 says...26 Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who hath created these things, that bringeth out their host by number: he calleth them all by names by the greatness of his might, for that he is strong in power; not one faileth. 27 Why sayest thou, O Jacob, and speakest, O Israel, My way is hid from the Lord, and my judgment is passed over from my God? 28 Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. 29 He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. 30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: 31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Can I just tell you how it uplifted my spirits? God's Word, His Spirit speaking to me, listening to the birds chirp and the water fountain trickle, the beautiful weather, communicating and listening to Him. It may have not fixed my problems physically, but it healed me in so many other better ways. It's so true when His Word says that His mercies are new every morning (Lam. 3:22-23). That morning, I was feeling weary. I just needed to be reminded that my problems were never too big or too small for God. And guess what our awesome God did for me? He reminded me of just that...and even more. So, today I just want to share with you the notes I took away from that portion of Isaiah 40. When You're Weary, Just Remember...
Friend, God is never too tired or too busy to help and listen. Shall I repeat that? God is NEVER too tired or too busy for you. His strength is our source of strength. Your problems? They are never too big or too small for the mighty, amazing God that created this universe. Draw from the never-ending, faithful words of God. Lift up your eyes and remember that when you're weak, He makes you strong. Wait on God and guess what He'll do for you? He'll renew your strength. Those are not just words from Katlyn, but those are words straight from the mouth of our powerful God. And friend, He never lies. Rest your soul in His Truth. You May Also Enjoy:
